Prospective Postdoctoral Associates
Our lab is recruiting a postdoctoral associate to start in Fall 2026 or later. This is a two-year position, with the possibility of extension pending funding. If you are interested in studying person perception, stereotyping and prejudice, and intervention science using behavioral and neuroimaging methods, please apply here. Review begins November 1, 2025 and will continue until the position is filled. If you have external funding and are interested in joining the lab, please contact Dr. Youngki Hong directly.
Prospective Graduate Students
We are recruiting Ph.D. students to join the lab starting in Fall 2026. Students with backgrounds in social psychology, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, computer science, data science, or related fields who are excited about research in person perception, stereotyping and prejudice, and intervention science are encouraged to apply. Prospective students are invited to explore our recent publications (especially those with Dr. Hong as first author) and current projects to get a sense of the lab’s work.
Dr. Hong can only accept students who apply through the Social Area in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder. Information about the Psychology Ph.D. program and the application process can be found here. All applications must be submitted by 10:00 p.m. Mountain Time on November 20, 2025.

Prospective Undergraduate Students
We are always recruiting motivated undergraduate research assistants to get involved in ongoing projects. RAs are expected to commit at least 8 hours per week to lab work. Interested students are encouraged to email Dr. Hong with an unofficial transcript, a resume or CV, and a brief explanation of why they are interested in joining the lab. We also welcome inquiries about completing an honors thesis with the lab. Given the timeline for completing an honors thesis, we recommend reaching out to Dr. Hong no later than the summer before your final year at CU Boulder.
